BUT the Montmartre District is also a little corner of paradise, better known as the ‘Artistes Quarter’ which contains numerous curiosities to discover. Bring comfy shoes as all little streets are hilly! If it’s too much, you can take the Montmartre Funicular to join the Basilica in few minutes.
RUE LEPIC : one of the most well-known streets of Montmarte, during the day as well as during the night there is permanent activity, traditional restaurants, trendy stores, concept and trendy local/cabarets. It is on THIS street that you will find the still functioning UNIQUE windmill, le Moulin de la Galette.
