Published on 21 aprile 2017 by nadia

We had a wonderful time in this sunny penthouse apartment. Nadia was helpful and responsive to all my questions, both before our trip and once we were in Paris. The apartment is very nicely equipped and charmingly decorated, with plenty of personal touches that would not be possible in a hotel. The light filled greenhouse-like dining room made the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, and plan our day, while watching the clouds come and go overhead. The kitchen is small but filled with anything you might need to make a meal and it comes equipped with a nifty European clothes washer/dryer - that, once you align the dial properly, both washes and drys your clothes in a single appliance. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. While the bath was very nice, all lined in marble, with a separate loo for the toilet and an additional tiny sink, this came in quite handy since there were five adults in our group. The one drawback was the sofa bed, which is not comfortable as a bed or as a sofa - it's too soft seat cushions unfold to make a very soft bed mattress directly on the (hard) floor. There is a sort plank across the front the sofa at the floor level that made it quite uncomfortable to sleep with your head towards the back of the sofa, sleeping with your head at the foot of this "bed" was better, but not great. Otherwise the salon was a really pleasant room, filled with books and magazines, as well as a TV - where we gathered each evening to discuss our options for the next day. We did have one glitch in that the toilet started to leak after a few days, but this problem was handled in the nicest way -...

The neighborhood was great with nearby metro, shopping, bakeries etc. And walking distance to the Eiffle Tower. Our trip was perfect and we would definitely recommend!! Thanks Nadia and Jaqueline!! We were shown a room that was indeed cute (i.e. tiny), but was stocked with everything we might have needed in the way of dry goods. Since we weren't going to be spending much time there, it didn't need to be anything more than a place to sleep, shower and eat the occasional meal. It served that purpose admirably. It...

It was within 5 minutes of anything we might have needed. There was a clothes washer (no dryer though, but there was a laundromat within walking distance), a dishwasher, a toaster oven/broiler, a drip coffee maker, and a kettle, plus a two-burner countertop stove, and a little fridge. They even provided a blow dryer in the little bathroom. Just remember to bring your own toiletries (i.e. shampoo & conditioner, etc.) as those are not provided. The owner bent over backwards to accomodate our needs and even stored our luggage in her home for a few hours as there was going to be a gap in time between our leaving Paris and the new tennant taking over the flat and we didn't want to have to carry our luggage around with us for that whole time. She was absolutely wonderful about everything. I highly recommend this flat. I can't say enough good things about it. Mississauga, Ontario, Canada May 2014,

Our stay was excellent, exactly what we wanted, a comfortable place that we could call our home for a week, while we toured Paris. Having both and inside and outside space allowed for us to truly feel like we truely lived in Paris. The apartment was large enough for the 4 adults that we were, with space to spare. It...

Having both and inside and outside space allowed for us to truly feel like we truely lived in Paris. The apartment was large enough for the 4 adults that we were, with space to spare. It was very quiet at night, since it was not on the main strip, but where the locals live. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to pretend they are living in Paris, not just visiting as a tourist. We were very happy in this delightful little flat. It was comfortable and was provided with everything one could possibly need, without being ostentatious- in other words, it was as 'authentic' a Parisien experience in the best sort of way that it could be. Also the situation was perfect - a nice quiet street, but just round the corner, and...

Also the situation was perfect - a nice quiet street, but just round the corner, and within easy walking distance, from all the interesting places in the Marais and down to the Seine.... I would definitely return here next time.   kaitie, AUSTIN, SEPTEMBER 2014

The apartment is close to a beautiful park. Unfortunately the door of the apartment is not marked, so we had quite a few problems before we found it. The metro station is close , from which you are anywhere fast. The apartment is big enough for four adults. The kitchen is good equipped but some scratched containers need to be replaced. Pull-out sofa is  comfortable. We had a really good time so that the apartment is definitely worth the money we paid. Nadia did not meet us in person but we received many of her help over the phone. After a genial and practical introduction we soon settled into the cosy, quiet, and well light flat. Although small it is well fitted out with everything you need, except maybe an oven for warming up the croissants. Although small it is well fitted out with everything you need, except maybe an oven for warming up the croissants. It would be perfect for two, however, it was also fine even with our two small children, as the sofa bed is a decent size. For early morning shopping we recommend you use the City Carrefour on the other side of the nearby crossroads as the nearby supermarket doesn't open until 10 am. Just up from the Carrefour is also a good patisserie. The location is good for kids as it is roughly between the Luxembourg Park and the Natural History Museum. Overall you can't go wrong with this flat. Highly recommended! APRIL 2016-HELSINKY/FINLAND
