QUARTIER

lIEUX D'INTERET TOURISITQUES A PROXIMITE

Nadia was a very approachable host that answered all of questions before and during our stay . Nothing was too difficult a request . She spoke English well which was a bonus for us not knowing much French .

The house was cosy yet spacious and the outside terrace made our stay more comfortable so we could enjoy the warm temperatures during September .

Nadia was the perfect host - welcomed us warmly upon arrival, offered drinks and wine and even showed us to a market nearby for dinner. The penthouse was everything one could ask for - Parisian, cosy, clean and fully equipped with everything one needs. We loved the terrace and spent time each morning there. Will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

We had a wonderful time in this sunny penthouse apartment. Nadia was helpful and responsive to all my questions, both before our trip and once we were in Paris. The apartment is very nicely equipped and charmingly decorated, with plenty of personal touches that would not be possible in a hotel. The light filled greenhouse-like dining room made the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, and plan our day, while watching the clouds come and go overhead. The kitchen is small but filled with anything you might need to make a meal and it comes equipped with a nifty European clothes washer/dryer - that, once you align the dial properly, both washes and drys your clothes in a single appliance. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. While the bath was very nice, all lined in marble, with a separate loo for the toilet and an additional tiny sink, this came in quite handy since there were five adults in our group. The one drawback was the sofa bed, which is not comfortable as a bed or as a sofa - it's too soft seat cushions unfold to make a very soft bed mattress directly on the (hard) floor. There is a sort plank across the front the sofa at the floor level that made it quite uncomfortable to sleep with your head towards the back of the sofa, sleeping with your head at the foot of this "bed" was better, but not great. Otherwise the salon was a really pleasant room, filled with books and magazines, as well as a TV - where we gathered each evening to discuss our options for the next day. We did have one glitch in that the toilet started to leak after a few days, but this problem was handled in the nicest way - when I e-mailed Nadia to let her know there was a problem she put me in direct touch with Jeanne, the owner (they were both out of town at the time) who arranged for a plumber to come at my convenience to fix this as quickly as possible. A little touch of real life that barely made a dent in our short sejour. Though the location is not central the surrounding neighborhood is typically Parisian, Haussmanian buildings with mansard roofs and plenty of services (I defy you to walk past the corner bakery without buying something) not to mention a magnificent fountain in the round-point by the Metro stop. There was also a street market on certain days. And then the two lines of the Metro will get you to all the places you want to see. All this made it easy to imagine we were really living in Paris for a (too) short time!

Nadia was very helpful, supportive and flexible during the booking process. Despite some email misses, which were my fault, she confirmed all details and was proactive in making sure all of our questions were answered. Nadia was not able to meet us at the apartment, but ensured that we had a contact to hand over the keys, orient us to the property, give us some good advice about the neighbourhood to make us feel welcome. The apartment itself was lovely, perfect for the 3 of us - and we really valued the terrace especially for the early morning coffee & croissants in the sun - and the solarium for the evenings when it was just a bit windy. The neighbourhood was lovely and quiet at night - and very close to the Metro for us to explore to our hearts content. We had a lovely time and were pleasantly surprised to find the Promenade Plantee - a unique gem - and one of the oldest Markets in Paris (so that also means fantastic restaurants) was close (within walking distance) to the apartment. We would seek this apartment out when back in Paris, and fully recommend this listing to others. Thank you Nadia! The outdoor space was amazing, the apartment had lovely light and very good airflow (the bedrooms all had doors that opened onto a small balcony). The hosts were thoughtful about the small details that made a huge difference to travelers for example Nespresso for the morning. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood with good amenities (shops, bakeries, markets, pharmacies) and was so quiet that we could hear the doves cooing in the morning.Nadia was wonderful to us, initially we were double booked and she allowed us to cancel, and made sure we knew the costs and how to do it. When our other booking fell through, she was proactive in letting us know that the apartment had come available again for our travel dates. We really appreciated her flexibility and friendliness.

Our family of 4 just spent nearly a week in this charming bohemian flat just a few metro stops away from the bustle and excitement of Paris. The apartment was very clean and warmly decorated with wood floors and cute furnishings. Our family felt at home with the owner's vast collection of music cd's (jazz, opera, and classical), filled book shelves, and artwork. After a day filled with walking and sight seeing, we loved returning to the residential neighborhood in the 12th aromdisment. We maneuvered throughout the city easily via the metro station 2 blocks away from the apartment and always felt safe. The sunroom and outdoor terrace was welcome respite after a day of sight seeing and traveling. We discovered a great bakery a few blocks away that was our go-to place for panini sandwiches and pastries in the mornings. The sleeping arrangements were great for our family of 4 with a queen size bed in one room and a queen in the other room that our 2 daughters shared. It looks like there was 1 single pull out/ futon style sofa in the living room. The photos on the site are a true representation of the flat and it's as cute in personas it shows on line. Hotel rooms in Europe are small and expensive...I would say that this is our new way to travel and loved this apartment experience. Nadia met us upon our arrival as promised and was easily reached by phone when questions arose.

We had a wonderful stay at Nadia's apartment. I was able to communicate very easily with her about our stay, and prior to us coming she emailed a detail list of things to know, like the directions, keycode, local supermarket opening hours, etc. which was very helpful. The place is spacious and warm, and feels like coming home. We have an 11 month old and were able to have our dinner and wine without disturbing our son sleeping in one of the bedrooms. The outside patio is beautiful and feels very private. The location is great, away from the busy and touristy center with a more local feel. There is a great bakery just down the street, as well as two supermarkets close by. It takes about 20 minutes by metro to go "downtown", with the metro stop (Dausmenil), which is a block or so away. Nadia helped us get a cab to the airport and even paid the $5.00 reservation fee for us, which was very nice of her. All in all, I will never choose a hotel room over an apartment again, and am a big fan of bnb. We hope to return to Paris someday, and would for sure want to stay in Nadia's place again.

don't think words can express how amazing our stay at this apartment was. I had been living in Paris for a few months and was going to be visited by my family so I wanted to get a larger apartment that would be more 'home-like' for their stay. I knew the area this apartment was located in - its a quiet, residential area that is a 5 minute walk from both a grocery store and a metro stop, with bakeries located everywhere! In fact, one is located right down the street at the corner - you have no excuse not to have baguettes! Communication was wonderful and we were met at the apartment and shown the space. The apartment itself is absolutely gorgeous - from the layout to the decoration, it instantly makes you feel at home and comfortable. In fact the apartment may be a little too nice as I found it hard to convince my family to leave it. They were content to cook in the kitchen and have meals on the terrace or the sunroom. Our whole family would gather around the terrace every morning and every evening. It is an absolutely amazing space and unlike any other I've seen in Paris. We had many Parisian friends and relatives over and not one of them left without commenting at the beauty of the apartment and the uniqueness of the terrace.

The apartment is located about 15 minute metro ride from what I consider to be the center of Paris (where it is the most lively). I considered getting an apartment closer to that area, but I am glad we decided on somewhere more quiet. It is nice to be able to get away from the crowds and noise and return home to a quiet and safe area. My family is used to using air conditioning so I thought that may be a problem, especially because two of the days they were in Paris the temperatures reached 99 and 100 degrees. The design of the apartment and all the shades in place made everything drastically cooler. We opened all the doors and windows and were pretty comfortable, even through the hottest days. I was definitely impressed by that.

After my family left, I asked them what their favorite memory of Paris was and each person answered that it was spending time together in the apartment. Being able to sit around, either in the living room, the sun room or the terrace, and plan our days, laugh about the day we had or just sip coffee and eat baguettes was priceless. I can only hope that we will all visit Paris another time and without a doubt, we will try and stay here again.

It is almost unanimous that the apartment is charming and spacious, and I'm delighted to add my voice to the mix. Two bedrooms is a wonderful size, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the terrace is all that it looks like in the pictures. There are few better things in this world than sitting on a terrace in Paris drinking a glass of red wine!

The 12th is not a famous area, but it is full of cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and parks. Transit is very close and easy. We had a toddler, so we were excited by the Bois de Vincennes nearby -- and it is a marvellous park. We found three playgrounds in quick walking distance, and likely could have found more if we needed. It is a very child friendly area.

For those who have decided to take this lovely apartment, I would give a word of advice: make sure to get the exterior apartment code from Nadia before leaving. I asked a number of times, but never got this important code -- which meant having to wait on the street for a stranger to take pity and let me in. Also, be very clear in advance about your special needs. We didn't bring our stroller or portable crib because we were told these things would be in the apartment. The crib arrived in the afternoon, but the stroller didn't show up for three days. I attribute this to a communication difficulty between Nadia (property manager) and Jeanne (property owner). Just make sure that your needs are clearly articulated and confirm before you leave. Once we had what we needed, though, we couldn't have been happier anywhere in the city. We would love to return to this apartment in the future.

Moral of the story: Paris is amazing for toddlers! Because it is a pedestrian friendly city, it is very very safe and easy to walk around and explore the sights. This apartment is a great base for your kid-included vacation.

April 2016, Hong Kong

Our stay was excellent, exactly what we wanted, a comfortable place that we could call our home for a week, while we toured Paris. Having both and inside and outside space allowed for us to truly feel like we truely lived in Paris. The apartment was large enough for the 4 adults that we were, with space to spare. It was very quiet at night, since it was not on the main strip, but where the locals live. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to pretend they are living in Paris, not just visiting as a tourist.

This was my second visit to this flat and it did not disappoint. Quiet, spacious with all the necessary amenities, we felt completely at home. The key drop off and pick up was seamless and made the experience that much more enjoyable. The terrace is amazing - we spent a lot of mornings and evenings just taking in the sights and sounds of the city. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and Nadia was a dream to work with.

Well let me just say that this place helped the trip to Paris be fabulous - We were greeted by Nadia who was warm friendly and welcoming - she showed us around the place and answered all the questions we had. The place was homely and well stocked pantry and fridge meant that we never went without a thing. Although we didn't use any of it. It is the type of place if you are looking for scissors you turned looked in an obvious place and that is where they were. Every thing worked - it was clean - had lots of options for sitting and entertaining - the beds were clean comfortable and had nice linen - all facilities worked including the dishwasher which helped with last minute clean up. The terrace was a real treat I so felt like doing some gardening while there although no time sorry Nadia. Other than a small attention to detail a couple of dead pots plants and a few things placed in awkward places this was a 10/10 experience.
